What we do in our free time is how our children determine what is really important to us.
To give you an idea, here are two profiles of two different individuals.
One person would spend his entire day engrossed in learning and teaching, he absolutely loves learning and inspires others to learn as well, but upon his return home he would sit with a glass of tea for 5 minutes to relax, that’s what he would look forward to at the end of the day.
The other spent the day working hard in the fields but would relish the 5 minutes following his arrival back home when he could crack open his gemara and learn with a geshmak, becoming immersed in its teachings and forgetting about the hard workday that he had just come from.
We work hard all year.
